Sucre, Bolivia · The city is your classroom.

About Us

Who we are, where we are, and the idea the school is built on.

Spanish Adventures is a Spanish-learning experience based in Sucre, Bolivia. We work with international travellers who want to learn the language while they are here rather than before they arrive or after they leave.

The idea

Our slogan is also our method: the city is your classroom. Spanish is not a subject that has to be finished before it can be used — it is something you can start using on the first day, badly and then a little better. We build the learning around that, so that study and use are part of the same week rather than separate stages.

Who it is for

People come to us at very different starting points: some have never studied Spanish, some learned it years ago and want it back, some already speak and want to be more precise or more comfortable. What they usually have in common is that they would rather spend their time in Sucre speaking than sitting still.

Where we are

We are in the centre of Sucre, at 273 Potosí Street, between Calvo and Grau. Sucre is Bolivia’s constitutional capital, a city of whitewashed colonial streets at altitude, with a mild climate and an unhurried pace — which, as it happens, is very good for conversation.

Getting in touch

The best way to find out whether we are a good fit for you is to ask. Write to us with a little about your Spanish and your plans, and we will answer honestly, including when we think something else would suit you better.
